Hi there!

Welcome to the ego landing page! Well, if you can see past that, this is really a sort of a race blog/scrapbook kind of thing. Somewhere to keep all the photos, results and memories from race days.

A 5 Year Plan

Everyone needs one, right? The last couple of years I've been concentrating on Sprint distance racing, and it's been a whirlwind! A gold and a silver in the Scottish champs and a matchin set of medals for the British age group champs plus 4th in the 30-34 age group at the Worlds in Hamburg.

What next? Well I'm 35 now, and I've always said that I'd do Ironman at 40 - after all it's an old man's game.

The plan to get from here to there is to spent the next two years racing Standard distances (hopefully at Sprint speed) then step up to 70.3 for the next two, before hitting m-dot. I'd like to take some Scottish Championship medals at all the distances as I work my way through too!

Not so much a 5 year plan as a 5 year journey - the destination is not as important as having some fun along the way!
